Location:  Plattsville Arena, upstairs in the Lions Hall

* Note that while there will be an opportunity for discussion of New Business on the agenda, any items directly connected to proposed changes to the Constitution or Bylaws must be submitted to [email protected] by noon on Sunday May 15, so that they are added to the official agenda.

Executive Board of Directors:

Refer to Bylaws 1.0 and 2.0 (link provided above) for the full list of positions on the Board, along with the responsibilities of each.
Below is a brief description for each of the roles that are open for election/re-election at this year's AGM.
  
President - Two year term; the individual must have served on the Board for at least one year to be eligible; currently held by Trevor Braunig
  • is the main representative of the Association
  • chairs all Association Board meetings
  • ensures the smooth operation of Association activities
Southern Counties League representative - Two year term; currently held by Brad Smith
  • attends all league meetings (usually in Paris, once a month)
  • is the liaison between the league and Association
  • ensures league rules are communicated to respective coaches
Grand River Local League representative - Two year term; currently held by Tina Balfour
  • attends all league meetings (usually in Plattsville, three to four throughout the season)
  • is the liaison between the league and Association
  • ensures league rules are communicated to respective coaches
Chief Referee - Two year term; currently held by Wayne Triemstra
  • ensures any changes to game rules are communicated to the Association
  • is familiar with the officiating qualifications
  • recruits new referees as needed
  • assigns officials for all Association league and exhibition games
Initiation Program Development Coordinator - Two year term; currently help by Joe Frayne
  • is the lead for the Association's U9 and below programming
  • coordinates evaluations of players and assigns them to skill-appropriate teams
  • recruits on-ice volunteers to assist with the implementation of the development program, as well as a coach and trainer for each team
Timekeeper Manager - Two year term; currently held by Mary-Anne Donahue / John Scoyne
  • recruits, hires, and trains student timekeeper staff
  • assigns timekeepers for all Association league and exhibition games
Equipment Manager - Two year term; currently held by Dan Glendinning
  • ensures all teams have adequate equipment, including game jerseys & socks, trainers kits, pucks, and goalie equipment for U11 & below divisions
  • recommends and oversees the purchase of additional equipment as required
  • is the lead contact for sponsorship programs, such as the Timbits Hockey and AtoMc programs
Fundraising Director - Two year term; currently vacant
  • oversees the annual fundraising raffle draw for the Association
  • coordinates any additional association-wide fundraising campaigns
  • acts as a contact person for individual team fundraising efforts (primarily to ensure no overlap with Association fundraising)
Events Coordinator - Two year term; currently vacant
  • coordinates major Association events, such as Picture Night, Hugh Hall Celebration & IP Showcase, and End of Season Wrap-Up
  • recruits volunteers to help plan, organize, and run such events
Hockey Parent Representative - Two year term; currently held by Geoff Dow
  • ensures each team has a parent rep
  • is the liaison between the Association and its Members, via communication through the team parent reps 
Members-at Large - up to five positions; one year term; currently held by Abbe Goddard, Brett Jessop
  • attends board meetings to provide additional input on Association operations
  • learns about other Board positions and assists where possible
