Southwestern Public Health has reinstated capacity limits in some of its municipalities due to rising incidence rates of Covid-19 and/or relatively low vaccination rates.
Blandford-Blenheim Township is included - which means that for any ice time, PDMHA will only be allowing a maximum of 2 spectators per player.
Please read the following and continue to adhere to the updated policies for both Plattsville arena and the respective arena for your away games.
Plattsville Arena policies:
Entrance to the facility begins 30 minutes before your scheduled ice time; this is to limit the number of individuals within the facility at any one time, to allow for physical distancing and to ensure changerooms will be ready. Doors will be locked until that time, so arriving early will mean you have to wait outside.
Doors will then be locked again 10 minutes after the scheduled start; please ensure you arrive during this timeframe. For example, if a game is scheduled for 6pm, doors will be unlocked & entrance allowed from 5:30pm to 6:10pm only.
Only come to the arena if, within 24 hours, you have answered the questions on the Covid-19 Customer Screening tool (https://covid-19.ontario.ca/screening/customer/) and obtained a green check mark.
Entrance to the facility is through the main front doors only. Anyone 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated (including the 14 day period) to enter the facility - proof of vaccination, along with photo id, must be shown at the door; name & contact info will be recorded. (exception for those already on the PDMHA approved list)
Everyone must wear a masks/face covering while inside the facility, including in the changerooms. Masks can only be removed for those participating in on-ice activities, while on the ice.
There will be a limit of two spectators 12 or older per player (coaches/bench staff, and siblings under the age of 12 are not included); children not participating in on-ice activities must remain with their parents and be closely supervised.
For players 10 and younger, one adult may accompany the player to the changeroom if needed; otherwise, all spectators are to wait in the designated area of the lobby.
The spectator stands are fogged with a sanitizer in between each user group. Spectators can proceed to the stands once sanitized and the red light above the door to the stands has been turned off.
At the end of the ice session, please exit the arena using the West doors (immediately to your right as you leave the stands). For players 10 and younger, one adult may return to the changeroom to assist the child if needed. For those using the changeroom, please exit the arena using the East doors (close to the parking lot!). Note that the front doors are not to be used as an exit, with the exception for accessibility needs or in the case of an emergency.
Changerooms are to be vacated within 30 minutes; please ensure all garbage has been placed in the cans provided, so that staff can efficiently clean & sanitize the room before the next user group.
Away Games:
For each of your away games, please check the other centre's website and take note of their specific policies. Here is a list of other centres' websites: https://plattsvilleminorhockey.ca/Pages/1993/Policies_at_other_Centres/
Thank you for everyone's cooperation and patience while at the facilities, so that we can do our part in keeping our families safe & healthy, and hockey going in our communities!
