Novice LL: Richard Vollmer Memorial Tournament Finalists
The Plattsville Rage Novice LL team travelled to Twin Centre for their first tournament of the season. From beginning to end they improved with their individual skill, team play and bonding together as a team!

The boys decided to take the long route to Sunday with a tough 8-3 loss Friday to the New Hamburg Huskies. Saturday morning they played Waterloo Wolves and dominated them with a 8-2 win. Saturday afternoon was the nail bitter vs Schomberg Red Wings. It was a back and forth affair. The game was tied 2-2 at the end of regulation time. Rage came out on top during the 4on4 play, scoring in the first 30 seconds. Rage took the 3-2 OT win and advanced to the Quarter final game on Sunday.

Sunday morning's game they faced Schomberg again. Rage didn’t want to leave the fans on the edge of their seats again so made it a little bit easier and made it a 5-2 win. With just a couple hours to spare in between games they were back on the ice for the semi- final game vs the host team Twin Centre Stars. Playing to their motto "make everything tough" Rage’s defence and offensive were unbelievable. Everyone came together and gave it all they had. Goalie Wilson made many saves. He was on fire between those pipes! Rage defeated the Twin Centre Stars 5-2. Advancing to the Finals and a rematch vs the New Hamburg Huskies.

An hour break game and the boys were back on the ice for the final game of the day/tournament. By this time the boys were exhausted and tired. But they weren’t just going to give those Huskies the gold. Rage dominared the first period jumping out ro a 3-1 lead. It was a back and forth game until the end of the second period when rage started to run low on fuel. But the Plattsville Rage boys didn’t give up. They fought until the end but came up a little short for the final score of 8-6 loss.

Great weekend of hockey boys! You all should be so proud of yourselves. Get some well deserved rest! GO RAGE GO!
