Constitution & Bylaws 

Notice of Motion Submission Form - Complete & submit the form by 11:30pm on Monday May 6 2024

Board of Directors Nomination/Self-Nomination Form - Complete & submit the form by 11:30pm on Sunday May 12 2024 (re-opened!) to either nominate someone or indicate your interest in any of the Board positions open for election/re-election at the 2023-24 AGM.   All submissions will be presented at the Annual General Meeting; nominations from the floor will be also be accepted.  An election will take place for any position for which more than one individual has been nominated and/or indicated an interest. See below for a brief description of each role.  Consider getting involved in our Association!

* Note that while there will be an opportunity for discussion of New Business with membership input/feedback on the agenda, any items directly connected to proposed changes to the Constitution or Bylaws must be submitted through the above Notice of Motion form, so that they are added to the official agenda.

Executive Board of Directors:

Refer to Bylaws 1.0 and 2.0 (link provided above) for the full list of positions on the Board, along with the responsibilities of each.
Below is a brief description for each of the roles that are open for election/re-election at this year's AGM.

Note that each position holds a two-year term, with the exception of the Member-at-Large positions which hold a one-year term.

President - currently held by Trevor Braunig

Grand River Local League Rep - currently held by Jo Czech
  • attends all Grand River Local League meetings (approximately 4 per season)
  • is the liaison between the League and PDMHA
  • ensures league rules are communicated to respective coaches
Chief Referee - currently held by Wayne Triemstra
  • coordinates the recruitment & selection of game officials, tracking the level of certification for each
  • ensures all Association league and exhibition games have a qualified officials assigned, using the website platform 
  • remains up-to-date with league Referee-in-Chiefs communications
Timekeeper Assignor - currently held by Melissa Oakes
  • coordinates the recruitment, selection, and training of student timekeepers
  • ensures all Association league and exhibition games have a qualified timekeeper(s) assigned, using the website platform 
  • tracks games completed by each timekeeper, and submits monthly pay reports to the treasurer
Tournament Convenor - currently held by Trevor Baer
  • coordinates all activities concerning PDMHA sanctioned tournaments, including scheduling and recruitment of team entries
  • ensures OMHA tournament regulations are followed
  • presents a financial report for each tournament to the treasurer
  • traditionally, PDMHA has hosted the following:  U11 LL Pride Tournament (early Dec.); Christmas Break Tournament or Jamboree; Little Brave Jamboree & Tournament over March Break
Equipment Manager - currently held by Dan Glendinning
  • ensures each rostered team is provided with a supply of pucks and medical items for trainer's first aid kits
  • is the contact for corporate sponsorships, such as Timbits and AtoMc 
  • tracks inventory of team jerseys and goalie equipment (U11 and below)
Events Coordinator - currently held by Melissa Oakes
  • oversees association events, such as: Rage apparel & picture night, Good Deeds Cup, Hugh Hall Celebration & IP Showcase, end of season wrap up event
  • recruits volunteers to manage each event
Fundraising Rep - currently held by Heather Hynes
  • oversees the annual fundraising raffle draw
  • assists with additional fundraising efforts if needed to balance budget
Parent Rep - currently held by Cindy Legate
  • ensures each team has a team parent rep
  • is a liaison between team parent reps and the Board
Members-at Large - up to five positions, each with a one year term; currently held by: Adam Czech, Brendan Eby, Joe Frayne, Rick Koebel, Jocelyn Patey
  • attends board meetings to provide additional input on Association operations
  • learns about other Board positions and assists where possible
